Shipped as hazardous in transport (ADR), so returns may not be possible.
Uses
Tagetes essential oil has a fruity, green, herbal scent that is not overly strong and therefore does not need to be diluted before blending. It pairs well with fruity and floral fragrances. For natural perfumers, it is an important ingredient in creating fruity scents such as apple. It is also very useful for the fragrance of chrysanthemum and marigold. A maximum of 4% of this substance is usually used in fragrance compositions. In perfumes, it is primarily a heart note and is stable in most products, including soap.
Store in a cool, dry, and dark place.
Properties
Tagetes essential oil is a yellow to green liquid at room temperature. It has a relatively long shelf life. The oil is produced by steam distillation from the flowering tops of Tagetes minuta L. Like all essential oils, this one is a mixture of various substances. An indication of the composition is as follows:
> 25% - beta-Ocimene
5-10% - Dihydrotagetone, Limonene, cis-Tagetone
2-5% - Piperitone
1-2% - beta-Caryophyllene
For all raw materials, but especially the more natural ones, the scent, colour, and other properties can vary within a certain range from batch to batch and over time.
