Use

Essential oil Lemon CP has a warm citrus scent, which is not particularly strong, you usually use it undiluted. It goes well with other citrus scents, but also with many floral scents. Traditional use is in eau de cologne, but it is also used regularly in many later perfumes. Modern classic are the perfumes from around 2000 with a mixture of lemon and bergamot as a top note.

It adds a touch of natural warmth and freshness. You usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition, in older compositions it can be more. It is mainly a top note in perfumes. Unfortunately, this substance is not stable in soap or acidic products and is susceptible to attack by atmospheric oxygen. For that reason it is also not suitable for use in powders, granules, candles or any other application where this oxygen is always abundantly present.

Store cool, dry and dark.

Properties

Essential oil Lemon CP is a yellow to greenish yellow liquid at room temperature. The substance does not keep for a long time because it is sensitive to attack by oxygen from the air. Our advice is to replace the oil with new oil at least once a year, do not buy more than is necessary in the short term. The oil is made by cold pressing from the peel of the fruits of the lemon tree or Citrus limon (L.) Osbeck. Like any essential oil, this one is also a mixture of various substances. An indication of the composition is the following:
> 25% - d-Limonene
10-25% - beta Pinene
2-5% - Beta Bisabolene, Citral, Myrcene, Neryl Acetate, Alpha Pinene, Sabinene
1-2% - Para Cymene, Geranyl Acetate

This product is very sensitive to oxidation, which is why 0,1% tocopherol (vitamin E) has been added, an antioxidant. Nothing else has been added to the oil.
