3-5% - Cedrol, Limonene, Myrcene
1-2% - alfa Fellandrene
Cypress essential oil is primarily a heart note. At the top the scent is fresh, coniferous. In the heart there are resinous and even slightly balsamic scents. In the base it gives a sweet, labdanum-like amber scent.
Cypress goes well with other coniferous scents such as pine oil and bornyl acetate, as well as in not too vanilla-like ambers and chypre perfumes. Also a good combination with labdanum resinoide. In soap it gives a fresh, balsamic effect, but it is not easy to achieve a good effect.
Cypress essential oil is very sensitive to oxidation, which is visible in the oil becoming cloudy or in the precipitate that is usually at the bottom of the bottle. The smell can also noticeably deteriorate. To prevent this oxidation, we add 0,1% tocopherol to the oil. Again, it is possible that the oil is or becomes cloudy upon receipt or use, but the chance is much smaller. These solid oxidation products can be removed from the oil by filtration.
It is better to prevent oxidation, keep the bottle closed as much as possible, do not use the oil for longer than a year and keep the oil cool. DO NOT store in the refrigerator. Apart from the antioxidant, nothing has been added to the oil.
The 250 g packaging may not be supplied to private individuals due to the lack of a child-resistant closure.
Cypress essential oil is harmful when inhaled, in contact with the skin and swallowed. In addition, it is a flammable oil, so be extra careful when using this oil in an aroma burner. The oil contains limonene, a substance to which some people have an allergic reaction.
