Magnolan (Sym) is an aromachemical for use in, for example, perfume, cosmetics, soap, and air fresheners.

Use

Magnolan (Sym) has a floral scent with green and citrus aspects, reminiscent of magnolia and gardenia. The fragrance is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in floral accords, especially those of white flowers. You usually use between 0,1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with woods, musk and citrus. It adds a natural aspect to white floral scents. In perfumery it is mainly a heart to base note, it is stable in most products, including soap. Keep cool, dry, dark and out of reach of children.

Properties

Magnolan (Sym) is a colourless to pale yellow liquid, sometimes partly solid, at room temperature. The purity is at least 98% and the substance has a long shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is synthetic. The manufacturer is the German company Symrise.

Packaging

The 10 and 50 ml packaging is made of brown glass with a black cap. The 250 g package is made of aluminium with a stopper and a white cap.

Magnolan (Sym) is classified as a hazardous substance, with the following characteristics: WARNING H302 - Harmful if swallowed. H412 - Harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects. An allergic reaction is not common.
