Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate (DCG) is a surfactant in solid form, a cleansing substance for use in, for example, washing tablets, shampoo, shower gel and the like.

Please read all information below and the general product information before purchasing. Not intended for use in or with food, or other internal use. Do not use undiluted on the skin: it is a raw material, not a finished product.

Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate (DCG) can be used alone or together with other surfactants.

When making solid cleaning products, carefully mix the substance with the melted butters and the like that are usually contained in such a product.

For liquid applications: mix with the other ingredients of the formula and you're done. Heating is not necessary, but can promote dissolution of the substance.

Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate (DCG) is a white to beige powder at room temperature. Because it contains no water, the concentration of detergent active is approximately 100%. The substance has a fairly long shelf life: store in a cool, dry, dark place and in a tightly closed container. Particularly dry is important, DO NOT store this substance in a refrigerator.

When used and stored, the substance may turn darker, beige, pink and yellow-brown. The same applies to what is made of it.

Tablets made with DCG are less hard than those made with Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI).

Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate (DCG) is largely made from renewable plant-based substances, such as coconut oil, corn and sugar. That makes it more sustainable than SCI. It is completely degradable in the environment.

The 50 g, 250 and 1 kg packaging is made of white plastic (PP). The 5 kg package consists of a transparent plastic (LDPE) bag in a cardboard box.

Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate (DCG) is classified as a hazardous substance, with the following characteristics:
