Caution!

Please read all information below and general product information before purchase.
Not intended for use in food, vape liquids or other internal use.

Use

Rose water (org) has a light rose scent. You use it in, for example, creams, aftershave and facial toners to replace (part of) the water in the recipe. Keep in mind that other scented substances can change the final smell of the product. Feel free to use it as the only fragrance, it fits in with the trend to perfume less or less strongly. It is quite a stable product and can even be used in soap with reasonable results.

Keep cool, dry, dark and out of the reach of children.

Properties

Rose water (org) is a colourless to slightly yellow liquid at room temperature. Usually this liquid is clear, but some cloudiness is possible. The substance has a fairly long shelf life, provided it is kept in a cool, dry and dark place.

The extract is made in the production of rose essential oil. The water that is released during this process is collected, filtered and preserved. As a result, it has a longer shelf life and waste is limited. The roses from which our rose water is made are organically grown and can come from all rose oil producing countries in and around Europe (Bulgaria, Morocco, Iran and Turkey).

The preservatives used are benzyl alcohol (just over 0,5%) and dehydroacetic acid (less than 0,1%), preservatives that are usually considered acceptable in natural cosmetics. The rose water itself consists mainly of water, it contains less than 1% fragrance, most of which is phenylethyl alcohol.

Sustainability

Rose water (org) is made almost entirely from plant matter and water. It is completely degradable in the environment. It is a by-product of rose oil production. So very sustainable in that sense, were it not for the fact that the production of rose oil is actually not that sustainable (a lot of land and water use), so you can better say that the use of rose water ensures that the production of rose oil becomes slightly more sustainable.

The use of synthetic preservatives ensures a longer shelf life, which prevents waste. Nevertheless, these are substances from non-renewable sources.
