Dreamwood Base (Fir)

Dreamwood Base (Fir) is a fragrance composition for use in, for example, perfume, cosmetics, soap, candles and air fresheners.

Use

Dreamwood Base (Fir) has a distinctive sandalwood scent. The odour is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. You use it as you would use sandalwood oil or any of the other sandalwood substitutes. You usually use between 0,1% and 15% of this substance in the fragrance composition. Like sandalwood, it combines well with rose, jasmine and many other floral scents. It adds warmth and creaminess to the fragrance. In perfumes it is mainly a heart to base note, it is stable in most products, including soap. The smell can however be disappointing in strongly acidic products. In scented candles it mainly contributes to the smell of the cold candle. Keep cool, dry, dark and out of reach of children.

Properties

Dreamwood Base (Fir) is a colourless to light yellow liquid at room temperature, which has a fairly long shelf life. It is a mixture of mainly natural substances. The material around which the base is made, Dreamwood, is biotechnically made from renewable materials. The manufacturer is the Swiss Firmenich.

Packaging

The 5 g pack is made of brown glass with a black cap. The other packaging is made of aluminium with a white cap. Closure is always with normal caps, for dosing small amounts we recommend the use of plastic droppers.

Sustainability

This fragrance composition contains only renewable substances, including Dreamwood, which is made biotechnically. The degradability in the environment is reasonable: some components take longer than others.

Dreamwood Base (Fir) is classified as a hazardous substance, with the following characteristics: WARNING H315 - Causes skin irritation. H317 - May cause an allergic skin reaction. H319 - Causes serious eye irritation. H411 - Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.
