Attention!

Before purchasing, read all information below and thegeneral product information.
Not intended for use in food, vape liquids or other internal use.
Intended for mixing with other fragrances: on its own, the scent can be boring or even unpleasant.
Do not use undiluted on the skin: it is a raw material, not a finished product.

Use

Wintergreen essential oil has a green, spicy, medicinal scent, which is not particularly strong and therefore does not need to be diluted before mixing. It goes well with other fresh, green and spicy scents, but also with certain floral scents, especially tuberose and ylang ylang. You usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition. In perfumes it is mainly a top note. Quite stable: it can also be used in soap.

In older recipes for some types of glue and paint it is used as a preservative. Keep in mind that this effect is limited.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place.

Properties

Essential oil Wintergreen is a light yellow to yellow liquid at room temperature. The substance has a fairly long shelf life. The oil is made by steam distillation from the leaves of Gaultheria procumbens L., or eastern teaberry. No artificial fertilizers were used in the cultivation of these plants and no, or minimal use of pesticides. Like every essential oil, this one is also a mixture of various substances. An indication of the composition is the following:

> 25% - Methyl salicylate

In this case: more than 98% of the oil consists of methyl salicylate. Our essential oil wintergreen is pure natural essential oil. It is checked for adulteration with synthetic methyl salicylate by means of C14 analysis.

For all raw materials, but certainly the more natural ones, the scent, colour and other properties can vary within a certain bandwidth from batch to batch and over time.
