Attention!

Before purchasing, read all information below and the general product information.
Not intended for use in food, vape liquids or other internal use.
Intended for mixing with other fragrances: on its own, the scent can be boring or even unpleasant.
Do not use undiluted on the skin: it is a raw material, not a finished product.

Use

Petitgrain Paraguay essential oil has a green spicy citrus scent, which is not particularly strong and therefore does not need to be diluted before mixing. It goes well with other citrus scents, but also with floral scents such as orange blossom, lavender and tuberose. It is used as a partial substitute for neroli oil and bergamot oil. You usually use between 0.1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition. In perfumes it is mainly a top to heart note and is quite stable. It can also be used in soap, provided it is combined with a suitable fixative such as elemi resinoide.

Store in a cool, dry and dark place.

Properties

Essential oil Petitgrain Paraguay is a light yellow to yellow liquid at room temperature. The substance has a fairly long shelf life. The oil is made by steam distillation from the leaves, twigs and unripe fruits of the bitter orange, also known as bitter or sour orange or Citrus aurantium L.. In this case from the shrubby species that is grown in Paraguay. The name petitgrain refers to the unripe fruits: the French petit grains means small grains. A petitgrain is also made from various other citrus trees. Nothing has been added to the oil. No artificial fertilizers and minimal or no pesticides are used in the cultivation of the plants from which this oil is made. Like every essential oil, this one is also a mixture of various substances. An indication of the composition is the following:

> 25% - Linalyl acetate
10-25% - Linalool
5-10% - alpha Terpineol
2-5% - Geraniol, Geranlyl acetate, Neryl acetate
1-2% - Limonene, Myrcene, Nerol, Ocimene

For all raw materials, but certainly the more natural ones, the smell, colour and other properties can vary within a certain bandwidth from batch to batch and over time.
