Attention!
Before purchasing, read all information below and the general product information.
Not intended for use in food, vape liquids or other internal use.
Intended to be mixed with other fragrances: on its own the scent can be boring or even unpleasant.
Do not use undiluted on the skin: it is a raw material, not a final product.
Use
Essential oil Buchu leaf has a green, fruity, herbal scent. The scent is quite strong, a dilution of for example 10% can therefore be useful. It goes well with fruity scents, but also with citrus for example. It adds a particularly light sulphurous accent of mint, blackcurrant and camphor. You usually use a trace to 1% of this substance in the fragrance composition, but in special cases it lends itself to a higher dosage. Especially in tropical fruit scents such as papaya and mango, and in berry scents such as blackcurrant it may be a good addition. In perfumes it is not very specific top, heart or base note: it remains quite strong throughout the entire period of use.
Store in a cool, dry and dark place.
Properties
Essential oil Buchu leaf is a light yellow to brown liquid at room temperature. The substance has a fairly long shelf life. The oil is made by steam distillation from the leaves of Agathosma betulina (Berg.) Pillans (you also find: Barosmeta betulina). Like every essential oil, this one is also a mixture of various substances. An indication of the composition is the following:
> 25% - Isomethone
10-25% - Limonene, Menthone
5-10% - 1,8-Cineole, Myrcene
2-5% - alpha Pinene, Pulegone
1-2% - beta Pinene
For all raw materials, but certainly the more natural ones, the scent, colour and other properties can vary within a certain bandwidth from batch to batch and over time.
