EO Cade (org)

Description

EO Cade (org) is an essential oil used as a fragrance compound in perfume, cosmetics and other fragrant products.

Use

EO Cade (org) has a smoky, tar-like odour, along with aspects of black pepper and other spices. The fragrance appears quite strong, so it can be useful to make a dilution of 10% or even 1%. EO Cade (org) is very suitable for scents of leather and tobacco, but can be a good addition in many perfumes in lower doses. For example, it gives a completely new dimension to wood, amber and vanilla scents. It is a base note in perfumes and is stable in most products, including soap. Keep cool, dry and dark.

Characteristics

EO Cade (org) is a clear, yellow liquid at room temperature; this substance has a long shelf life. The oil is made from the organically produced wood of the juniperus oxycedrus, i.e., prickly juniper. This species is found in the Mediterranean region.

There are two different production methods for cade oil. First of all, by steam distillation: this is how our cade oil is made. Another method is by pyrolysis. Pyrolysis may produce very dangerous substances, therefore, extensive cleaning ("rectification") is required.

Like any essential oil, it is also a mixture of various substances. The following is an indication of the composition:

> 25% - Cadine Delta
10-25% - Cadina-1,4-diene, epi Cubenol
5-10% - trans Calamenene, beta Caryophyllene, Zonarene
1-2% - alpha cedrene

Packaging

The 10 and 50 ml packaging is made of brown glass with a black, child-resistant cap.
