EO Basil MC

Description

With 'basil' we usually refer to "sweet basil", or Ocimum basilicum. The essential oil is made from the whole herb through steam distillation. Our basil oil is of the estragole / methylchavicol type. The oil is made from organically grown basil leaves.

The English name is basil, the French name is basilic, the German name is basilikum.

Indication of the composition:
> 25% - beta Caryophylene
10-25% - Cadinol
5-10 % - alpha Bergamotene, alpha Humulene
2-5% - Cubenol, Eugenol, Linalool, Methyl cinnamate

Basil oil is used in perfumes as a heart or top note. The scent is fresh, spicy at first, towards anise, in the heart it becomes less fresh, more sweet and the spicy deepens to more spicy. This spice-like fragrance can be smelled far into the base and imparts warmth to the base. Widely applicable, but especially widely used in chypres, fougère (especially the more modern fougères) and in many classic floral perfumes together with aldehydes.
Basil oil is very suitable for the perfuming of soap.

Nothing has been added to the oil, it is 100% pure essential oil.
