Use

Vertofix coeur (IFF) has a dry, woody scent reminiscent of cedarwood. The scent is not particularly strong; undiluted use is common. It is typically used in woody accords, sometimes combined with amber. You usually use between 0,1% and 30% of this substance in fragrance compositions. It is incredibly versatile; there are few scents it wouldn't be suitable for. It adds a dry warmth to the fragrance, and a warm, animalistic aspect. Besides the scent, it also contributes to the fragrance's diffusion. In perfumes, it primarily serves as a base note; it is stable in most products, including soaps and candles.
Store in a cool, dry, dark place, and out of reach of children.

Properties

Vertofix coeur (IFF) is a yellow-brown liquid at room temperature. It does not occur naturally but is made from cedrene in cedar oil, making it a mixture of several substances. The substance has a relatively long shelf life. The manufacturer is IFF.

Other commonly used names are acetylcedrene and MCK, or Methyl Cedryl Ketone. There are many suppliers of this substance, but we deliberately chose this IFF product because it has a pleasant scent and there is little difference between batches.

Packaging

The 10 and 50 ml containers are made of brown glass with a black cap. The 250 g and 1 kg containers are made of aluminium with a white cap. They are always sealed with standard caps; for dispensing small amounts, we recommend using plastic pipettes.

This fragrance is made from renewable resources. Its environmental degradability is poor.
