Attention!

Before purchasing, please read the information below and the general product information.
Not intended for use in food, vape liquids or other internal use.
Intended to be mixed with other fragrances: on its own, the scent may be dull or even unpleasant.
Do not use undiluted on skin: it is a raw material, not a finished product.

Use

Velvione (Giv) has a powdery musk fragrance with animalic (civet) aspects. The scent is not very strong, and undiluted use is common. Typical use is in musk accords. You usually use between 0,1% and 10% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It fits anywhere you traditionally expect a musk to go: with flowers, with wood, with tropical fruit. It is often used as an alternative to nitro musks. In perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is stable in most products, including soap and candles. Only at a low pH (< 4) does it perform less well.
Keep cool, dry, dark and out of reach of children.

Properties

Velvione (Giv) is at room temperature a colourless to pale yellow liquid or solid, or even both: a liquid with pieces. It melts around room temperature, which is why its state can vary from time to time. The substance has a long shelf life. It does not occur in nature. The manufacturer is the Swiss company Givaudan.
