Use
Phenirat (Sym) has a fruity scent reminiscent of green apple. The scent is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in fruit accords, especially apple, plum, berries, pear and mango. You usually use between 0,1% and 30% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with fruit and citrus, but also with rose, green flowers and wood. It is a building block that can be bent in the desired direction with small amounts of other substances. In perfumes it is mainly a base note, it is stable in most products, also in soap.
Store in a cool, dry, dark place and out of reach of children.
Properties
Phenirat (Sym), or phenoxyethyl isobutyrate, is a colourless to light yellow liquid at room temperature. The purity is at least 98% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic substance. The manufacturer is the German Symrise.

Packaging
The 10 and 50 ml packaging is made of brown glass with a black cap. The 250 g and 1 kg packaging is made of aluminium with a white cap. Closure is always with normal closing caps, for dosing small quantities we recommend the use of plastic pipettes.
Sustainability
This fragrance is made from petrochemical substances such as petroleum. The degradability in the environment is quite good.
Hazards
Phenirat (Sym) is not classified as a hazardous substance. Nevertheless, we recommend that you handle all substances with care: keep out of the reach of children.
An allergic reaction to this substance is unusual, but cannot be ruled out.
