You usually use between 0,1% and 5% of this substance in the fragrance composition, but you can go up to 15 or 20%. It combines well with other fruity scents, as well as with the scent of moss, resins and conifers. It is mainly a top note in perfumes and is stable in most products, it can also be used in soap.
Keep cool, dry, dark and out of reach of children.

Properties

Hexyl acetate is a colourless to pale yellow liquid at room temperature. The purity is at least 98%. The substance has a fairly long shelf life and occurs in nature, but the synthetic version is used as fragrance material. In theory, it can be made completely renewable, but in practice the raw materials usually come from fossil sources.
