Use

Edenolide (IFF) has a musky scent with green apple aspects. The scent is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in fragrance compositions where you combine fruit and musk scents. You usually use between 1% and 15% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with fruity scents, but also with fresh and green floral scents. In higher doses it can bring musk scents more to the heart and top of a perfume. Although still mainly a base note, it is a musk fragrance that can reach relatively far into the heart and even the top. It is stable in most products, including soap.

Store in a cool, dry, dark place and out of reach of children.

Properties

Edenolide (IFF) is a colourless to light yellow liquid at room temperature. The purity is at least 98,5% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic substance. The manufacturer is IFF.

This fragrance will not smell good to everyone: certainly in pure form and without other fragrances. It is also conceivable that it works one time and not the next, one batch works and the other batch does not.

Packaging

The 10 and 50 ml packaging is made of brown glass with a black cap. The 250 g packaging is made of aluminium with a white cap. Closure is always with normal caps, for dosing small quantities we recommend the use of plastic pipettes.

Sustainability

This fragrance is made of approximately 67% renewable raw materials, the rest from petrochemicals such as petroleum. The degradability in the environment is not good, even though it is one of the most biodegradable musk fragrances.
