Attention!

Before purchasing, read all information below and thegeneral product information.
Not intended for use in food, vape liquids or other internal use.
Intended to be mixed with other fragrances: on its own, the scent can be boring or even unpleasant.
Do not use undiluted on the skin: it is a raw material, not a final product.

Use

Dihydroterpineol has a fresh scent reminiscent of conifers and citrus, with an earthy undertone. The scent is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in two very different types of scents. One type is fresh, green citrus scents, often combined with wood. The other is in floral accords, especially lilac, hawthorn and other green anise flowers. You usually use between 1% and 30% of this substance in the fragrance composition. In perfumes it is mainly a top note, it is stable in most products, also in soap.

Store in a cool, dry, dark place and out of reach of children.

Properties

Dihydroterpineol is a colourless to light yellow liquid or solid at room temperature. The purity is at least 90% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It occurs in nature, but for use as a fragrance the synthetic version is used. This is largely based on vegetable raw materials.

Although we have not yet experienced that, it can, in theory, be solid at room temperature. According to the literature, the melting point is 32 °C, but in practice it is (almost) always liquid at considerably lower temperatures.
