Use

Boisiris (Giv) has a scent reminiscent of the ionones: wood and orris root. In addition, aspects of tobacco and amber. The scent is not particularly strong, undiluted use is common. Typical use is in woody accords, especially when orris root or tobacco scents are needed. You usually use between 1% and 30% of this substance in the fragrance composition. It combines well with other wood and iris notes, but also with citrus, for example. It adds warmth and depth to the scent and can contribute to a stronger diffusion. In perfumes it is mainly a heart to base note, it is stable in most products, also in soap.

Store in a cool, dry, dark place and out of reach of children.

Properties

Boisiris (Giv) is a colourless to light yellow liquid at room temperature. The purity is at least 92% and the substance has a fairly long shelf life. It does not occur in nature, it is a synthetic product. The manufacturer is the Swiss Givaudan.

This fragrance will not smell good to everyone: certainly in pure form and without other fragrances. It is also conceivable that it works one time and not the next, one batch works and the other batch does not.

Packaging

The 5 g packaging is made of brown glass with a black cap. The other packagings are made of aluminium with a black cap. Closure is always with normal closing caps, for dosing small quantities we recommend the use of plastic pipettes.

Sustainability

This fragrance is largely made from petrochemicals such as petroleum. The degradability in the environment is quite poor.
