Description

Cocoglucoside is a surfactant, a cleaning agent for use in, for example, shampoo, shower gel and other similar products.

Use

Cocoglucoside can be used on its own, but also together with other surfactants. The use is very simple: mix it with the other substances in the formula and it is ready, heating is not necessary. If there are substances that mix poorly with water in the formula (such as preservatives, perfume), it may be useful to first mix them with the surfactants and only then add the water. The pH range is 3-11, so it can be used in almost any kind of product. Cocoglucoside can almost always be exchanged with similar substances. Such as decyl glucoside, lauryl glucoside: they can also be made from palm oil. It can also replace Plantaren, which is a brand name for cocoglucoside or a similar substance.

Properties

Cocoglucoside is a pale yellow to yellow viscous liquid at room temperature. The concentration of detergent is about 50-55%. The substance has a long shelf life: store it cool, dry, dark and keep in the tightly closed container. It is quite mild and well tolerated by the skin. The cleaning power is less powerful than many other surfactants, which fits well with the trend that people use cleansing products daily.

Durability

Cocoglucoside is made entirely from renewable, vegetable substances, such as coconut oil, corn and sugar. It is completely biodegradable.

Packaging

The 250 and 1000 ml containers are made of plastic (PET) with a black plastic (PP) cap. The 5 kg and 25 kg packaging are made of plastic (HDPE) with a black plastic (PP) cap. You can order a Jerrycan key DIN 51 to open the 5 kg package. The key is not suitable for larger packages.

Hazards

Cocoglucoside is classified as a hazardous substance, with the following characteristics: DANGER H318 - Causes serious eye damage.
