Olive glutamate is a cosmetic raw material, for use in, for example, shower gel or shampoo. This product will be discontinued, sale as long as stock is left. Expiration date of this last batch is 04/2024.

Use

Olive glutamate is a surfactant: it cleanses skin and hair and it foams. It is particularly mild of its kind, yet does a decent job of cleaning. The percentage of detergent is 27%. It can be used as the sole surfactant, but also in combination with others. For example with cocoglucoside. Suitable as a cleaner and foamer in, for example, shampoo, shower gel, bath foam and other foaming cleansing cosmetics.

Properties

Olive glutamate is an almost clear translucent liquid. It is made from olive oil and vegetable proteins. It can also be made (partly) from coconut oil. This has to do with the availability of the necessary raw materials. It consists of about 27% surfactant, 3% table salt and 70% water. It is preserved with a mixture of potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate and benzyl alcohol. The raw materials for this product are vegetable or mineral. It meets the requirements of the Cosmos standard for natural products.

Packaging

The 250 ml and 1 liter versions are packed in brown PET, with a black cap, the 5 kg pack is in a HDPE jerry can with a black cap.
