Grape seed oil is a vegetable oil that can be used in, for example, massage oil or facial cream.

Use

Grape seed oil is a popular massage oil and can be used as such without any additives. In addition, it can be used anywhere when a vegetable oil can be used: in the fat phase of a cream, in lye soap, bath oil and many other types of cosmetics.

De Hekserij does not sell products that are intended for use in food or for other internal use. This product is NOT an exception.

Properties

Grape seed oil is pressed from the seeds (kernels) of grapes. It contains a lot of linoleic acid and is mainly used for oily and impure skin. Due to the remarkable spread over the skin, this oil is very suitable as a massage oil. We have opted for refined oil, the advantage of this is that the oil has a longer shelf life because it oxidizes less quickly (is affected by oxygen). This keeps the valuable components of the oil intact longer. Nevertheless, we recommend adding a few drops of Tocopherol per litre to the oil to make the oil last longer and more durable.

Vegetable oil can become (partly) solid, especially in the cold season. As a result, the oil appears cloudy, it contains solid pieces in the form of lumps or long strings. It is often sufficient to allow the oil to reach room temperature well, sometimes it is necessary to heat the oil au-bain marie for a while.

Packaging

The packages up to 1 litre are in a brown plastic (PET) bottle with black cap. The 5 kg package is in a transparent plastic (HDPE) jerry can with black cap.
