Biosaccharide gum-1 (1%)

Biosaccharide gum-1 (1%) is an active ingredient for use in cosmetics. It is multifunctional, it works against irritation and keeps the skin moist.

Use

Biosaccharide gum-1 (1%) mixes easily with water, substances such as glycerine and propylene glycol. No more than stirring is necessary. It does not mix with oil and other fatty substances. When used in creams and the like: use in the aqueous phase.

It can be used in many products:

• Anti aging: in serums, creams, skin gels. It keeps the skin moist and improves its structure.
• After shave, against irritation and redness.
• All types of creams and emulsions. It keeps the skin moist and prevents irritation.
• After sun, against irritation, helps skin repair after superficial damage, cools by keeping the skin moist.
• Hair products: especially stay in products such as conditioners: keeps the hair moist and protects the scalp from irritation.

With serums you can use up to about 40% Biosaccharide gum-1 (1%), with other products it will be 3-10%.

Properties

Biosaccharide gum-1 (1%) is a slightly viscous, almost clear liquid with a very light odour of its own. It is a solution of about 1% of a certain polysaccharide in water. The preservation is with 1,5% phenoxyethanol. It is non-sticky, feels like a gel and absorbs quickly and easily into the skin.

It prevents irritation of the skin. It promotes the absorption and retention of water in the skin, among other things by stimulating the production of the skin's own hyaluronic acid. It somewhat protects cells in the skin from premature breakdown by stimulating the production of certain proteins. It stimulates the production of collagen in the skin, making it firmer and stronger. It enhances the skin renewal process, allowing the skin to work better (especially the barrier function) and look younger. It forms a protective layer on the hair so that it is less easily damaged and less likely to dry out.

In addition, it gives a pleasant skin feeling.

Sustainability

Biosaccharide gum-1 (1%) is easily biodegradable in the environment. The gum itself is made by micro-organisms that are not genetically modified, the preservative is mainly based on fossil materials such as petroleum.

Packaging

The 10 and 50 ml packaging consists of a glass bottle with a black plastic (PP) cap. The 250 ml packaging is made of brown plastic (PET) with a black plastic (PP) cap.

Dangers

Biosaccharide gum-1 is not classified as a hazardous substance. Nevertheless, we recommend that you handle all raw materials with care and keep them out of the reach of children.
