Description

Essential oil Petitgrain Paraguay is made by steam distillation from the young stems and leaves of Citrus aurantium or the bitter orange. The oil is extracted in Paraguay and smells slightly different from the petitgrain oil that used to be extracted in France and now in Tunisia, for example. Petitgrain oil used to be extracted from the very young, unripe fruits of this tree, hence the name "petitgrain"; small grains.

In Paraguay there is a slightly different variant of the bitter orange tree that grows in the form of shrubs, partly wild, partly planted. As a result, Essential oil Petitgrain Paraguay smells slightly different from the French variant that is called EO Petitgrain Bigarade. A 'petitgrain' oil is also made from other citrus trees.

In other languages, the name petitgrain is also usually used. Note that a different name after petitgrain means that it is a different oil, for example, petitgrain citronier is made from twigs and leaves of the lemon tree.

Indication of the composition:
> 25% - Linalyl Acetate
10-25% - Linalool
2-5% - Geranyl Acetate, Neryl Acetate, Alpha Terpineol
1-2% - Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Myrcene, Nerol, Ocimene, Beta Pinene

Essential oil Petitgrain Paraguay is widely used in perfumery, for instance as a cheaper substitute for bergamot oil. The scent is strongly reminiscent of that, but is a bit drier than bergamot. Petitgrain is incredibly versatile, classic are especially combinations with bergamot, lavender and citrus fruits. In addition to use in perfumes and eau de cologne, it is also very suitable in soap, provided it has been sufficiently fixed with, for example, elemi resionoide or olibanum resinoide. After all, it is classic in fragrance compositions for creams.

The 250 g packaging is NOT supplied to private individuals, because it does not contain the legally required child-resistant cap.

Our essential oil Petitgrain Paraguay is pure natural essential oil, nothing has been added.

Essential oil Petitgrain Paraguay is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Petitgrain oil contains citral, geraniol, limonene and linalool, substances that some people have an allergic reaction to.
