Essential oil Peppermint

Essential oil Peppermint is made by steam distillation from the stems and leaves of Mentha x piperita L. or peppermint. This is real peppermint oil, not cornmint oil (Peppermint China, Arvensis) sold as peppermint oil, which is unfortunately not uncommon.

The peppermint oil is made from plants that are grown without the use of artificial fertiliser and usualy without the use of pesticides.

Indication of the composition:
> 25% - Menthol
10-25% - Menthone
2-5% - beta Caryophyllene, 1,8 Cineol, iso Menthone, Menthofuran, Neomenthol, cis Sabinene hydrate
1-2 % - Germacrene D, Limonene, Pulegon, Terpinene-4-ol


Essential oil Peppermint is not widely used in perfumery, but is a top note in such cases. The scent is pungently fresh and is mainly determined by the menthol and menthone. Peppermint is not an easy scent, but goes well with rosemary and lemon, among others.

Essential oil Peppermint is a purely natural essential oil.

Peppermint oil is irritating to the eyes, skin and respiratory tract. Contact with the eyes can cause irreversible eye damage. Swallowing can cause lung damage. Peppermint oil contains limonene and linalool, substances that some people have an allergic reaction to.

The 250 g packaging is not supplied to private individuals. The reason is that we have not found suitable packaging with a child-resistant closure. The latter is mandatory for this product, when delivered to private individuals.
